What is the difference between a medical spa and a traditional day spa?

A: Traditional day spas offer relaxing, luxurious treatments that help you maintain healthy skin. In contrast, medical spa treatments actually provide medical benefits through the treatment of cosmetic problems like acne, aging skin, and rosacea.

What can I expect when I come to Beautify at AMS for my first visit?

A: As a new patient you will complete two forms: a patient information form and a short medical history form. We will make a photocopy of your ID for your chart.

The treatment you are going to receive will be explained to you by our provider and you will sign a consent form prior to being treated.

If numbing is required, you will be asked to arrive prior to your scheduled time to allow time for numbing appropriate to your specific treatment.

How do I know which treatment is right for me?

A: If you are concerned about the health and/or appearance of your skin, it is best to schedule a consultation with our office to review your concerns and consider all your options prior to scheduling a treatment. We will help you choose a treatment or a combination of treatments that best suit your needs. Most treatments can be combined and performed on the same day.

What conditions do your treatments address?

A: Our treatments alleviate a variety of conditions including scar and stretch mark reduction, acne, varicose and spider veins, aging and sagging skin, enlarged pores, Botox and fillers such as collagen, Juvederm, and much more.

How long do your treatments take?

A: Typically, our treatment sessions last normally ½ to around an hour.

Do you have financing options?

A: We offer a full range of payment plans, including extended cash payment plans for cosmetic procedures.

What can I expect from the treatment experience at Beautify at AMS?

A: The environment of our Rejuvenation Center is relaxing. We do our best to keep you feeling pampered during treatment while enjoying all the real medical benefits.

What are the benefits of non-surgical cosmetic treatments?

A: Non-surgical cosmetic treatments do not come with the same risks as surgery and have minimal side effects. Non-surgical cosmetic treatments have little to no pain and have little to no downtime. Additionally, they are more affordable than cosmetic surgical procedures.

Are the results of non-surgical cosmetic treatments permanent?

A: The results of cosmetic treatments offered at Beautify at AMS can last anywhere from a couple of months to three years, depending on the type of treatment you get. Touch-ups may be required and is discussed with each patient.

Where is Beautify at AMS located?

A: We are located at 830 North Ashland Avenue (between Chicago and Augusta).

Are all medical treatments and injections done in a medical office?

A: Yes. Our office is a medical office located in the Ashland Medical Specialists complex.

Is numbing required for each treatment?

A: Numbing is not required; however, we do highly recommend numbing for mesotherapy, laser treatments and injectable filler treatments. Numbing times vary depending on the treatment. You will be advised on the time to be allotted for numbing at the time of scheduling your treatment.
